Job Details/Summary:	Exciting opportunity at Virtua for a LIS Applications Analysis Assists the LIS Project Leader and LIS Administrator in coordinating and monitoring the implementation and utilization of the Laboratory Information System ensuring that the system operates efficiently and according to design. Qualifications: Baccalaureate degree or equivalent in Medical Technology, Chemistry, Biology or Information Systems. Valid current registration as Medical Technologist or equivalent. A minimum of 5 years of clinical laboratory experience with one year of laboratory information system experience. Must be knowledgeable of laboratory technology and procedures, quality assurance and regulatory requirements. Working knowledge of computerized laboratory information systems and personal computers. Good communications, organizational and interpersonal skills. Must be able to work independently with daily activities and providing guidance managing laboratory and hospital information processing. Cerner Millennium and/or Database build experience preferred Job Essentials: - Assists in the daily routine maintenance of LIS. - Assists in design, build and implementation of routine database modifications. - Assists LIS Project Leader with education and training. - Responsible for support of LIS operations 24/7 on a rotating basis. - Responds to and resolves issues related to LIS software, instrument/HIS/reference lab interfaces. - Other duties as required.
