| Job Details/Summary: | Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Junior Product Manager (Jr PM) will have primary responsibility for all product management functions related to the Sepacore product line, as well as secondary responsibilities for supporting select other Buchi product lines, as needed. The Jr PM will liaise with corporate headquarters in Switzerland, provide technical support for the assigned product line(s) to Buchi customers and field support organization, as well as pre/post-sale support to the field sales team through promotions, demonstrations, sales tools, metrics, and training. The Jr PM will also develop, refine, evaluate, and maintain product line business plans designed to generate sustained year-over-year growth. Specific responsibilities These will include (but are not limited to): •Phone and email inquiries covering all Buchi systems, past and present for both internal and external customers •Data entry into ACT! (Buchi CRM system) •Baan (Buchi ERP system) interface for product availability, pricing, etc. •Buchi product return evaluation •Planning, development, and implementation of business plan, including focus markets, bundling strategies, applications, metric, etc. •Development, promotion, and execution of technical solutions, such as seminars, workshops, webinars, applications papers, on-site and web trainings, etc. •Close interaction with field sales team to drive product sales •Trade show and conference support •Assisting with annual sales and GM budgets preparation for assigned products Expectations The Junior Product Manager must be able to: •Conduct business in a professional manner via phone and email •Multi-task to ensure that all contacts are replied to in 24 hours or less •Capture all contacts in ACT! to leverage Buchi marketing efforts •Communicate effectively with Swiss colleagues as needed to handle extraordinary requests •Quickly become the technical expert for the assigned product line(s) •Function as a back-up resource for select other Buchi product lines, as needed •Take the lead in role in customer, market, and competitor analysis •Execute demo and returned product evaluations independently and without constant supervision •Ensure that returned units are quickly and accurately evaluated, restored to sellable condition or useable (for demo purposes) condition Travel Approximately 40-50% Skills •Chemistry degree •0 to 4 years experience •Strong organizational/time management and interpersonal skills **NOTE: relocation assistance is not available for this New Castle, DE-based position** Send resume with cover letter and salary requirements to: HR@buchi.com |
