| Job Details/Summary: | INSIDE SALES CONSULTANT- Manual Immunoassay Beckman Coulter develops, manufactures and markets products that simplify, automate and innovate complex biomedical testing. Job Description: This position will focus on Beckman Coulter’s Manual Immunoassay products. The primary accountability will include supporting existing customers, exploring opportunities for new products as well as expanding business within the current customer base, introducing products to prospective customers. Responsibilities include: Providing immediate response to customer inquiries Assisting in the implementation of target marketing campaigns. Ensure regular telephone contact and sales visits with all key account customers and existing client base, prospects and leads for manual immunoassay products Follow up with all leads provided by marketing, conferences, and referrals Prospect and qualify new business opportunities within assigned geographic territory Generate price quotations for new, and renewed, sales opportunities following pricing strategies. Responsible for accurate documentation of all sales calls, call reporting, and organization of sales leads. Understand the application and intended use of the manual immunoassay products, including all salient technical details; Communicates effectively with prospects/clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions. Identify new sales opportunities and introduce new products to expand revenues in existing customer base Provide support to marketing regarding investigation of competitor’s product menu promotion, pricing, and customer relationship strategies; Monitor competitors’ activities within territory accounts and provide feedback to marketing and management Provide reports of sales calls and update sales pipelines to management each week Prepare quarterly and annual sales pipelines/forecasts. Participates in weekly sales meetings to report on previous week’s efforts. Approximately 25% travel is required, including conferences, customer visits and trade shows as required; Sales Consultant will plan and coordinate travel to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of sales efforts while on the road as well as stay within the travel budget Qualifications: Baccalaureate degree in biological science preferred Previous sales experience is not required, but a willingness to learn and understand sales is required Previous customer relations experience is preferred Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills required as well as prioritization skills Must have good computer and applications knowledge; experience using MS Office products, Lotus Notes email, and databases preferred Ability and desire to learn is essential to this position as product and Customer Care training is provided Must have ability to work effectively in a team environment Ability to travel up to 25% of time Excellent benefits: In addition to a very competitive salary and bonus opportunity, we offer a robust benefits package that includes low cost health insurance coverage for you and your family; matching 401(k) as well as a retirement account plan; stock purchase options; paid time off (PTO) and holidays.
