Currently we have an opening for a Product Manager in Vancouver, BC in the area of Stem Cell Culture Products. The Product Manager is responsible for planning and managing global product line strategies, plans and activities including product life cycle and sales and marketing strategies. Key accountabilities will be for business performance of product lines under management, specifically building revenues and profitability in the short and mid term. Duties: -Develop detailed annual marketing strategies, plans and projections for approval for assigned product line -Prepare overall Take-to-Market strategies (with budgets and timelines) for products, including key messages/sales features and marketing communication (publications, conference and trade show plans, etc) and collaborates with Take-to-Market group for further development and implementation -Monitors performance of product(s) against plans, and recommends and implements corrective actions as required -Writes and provides sales scripts and other support tools to sales staff and helps train sales staff using these tools -Develops and maintains expert knowledge on market trends/opportunities and on the competitive landscape for assigned product line(s) through, for example, customer visits, literature reviews and trade show attendance. -In close collaboration with R&D scientists, supports the development of product road maps, including general descriptions of new product concepts and positioning of products within overall product line -Manage Take-to-Market Specialist for assigned product line. Qualifications: -Undergraduate degree in the biological sciences or related field is mandatory, with a graduate degree strongly preferred. -Minimum of 3 years experience in Product Management, Marketing, Sales, or as an R&D Scientist in a relevant field(s). -Proven business acumen with strong project management and team-building skills -Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, plus strong presentation expertise.
