Abstract
Due to unforeseen circumstances, this webinar has been postponed indefinitely.
Once a new date has been finalized, we will alert you via email.

Post-operative care of transgenic and mutant surgical models is an important aspect of animal welfare that begins before the actual procedure – proper preparation of the recovery environment, including clean caging, warming options, special diet preparation, medicinal gel, and analgesic planning and dosing pre-surgery. The duration of the post-operative care is determined by the surgical procedure and species. Advances in technology help us monitor animals post-surgery and effectively treat pain, which can aid in a quicker recovery and improved animal welfare.

Learning Objectives
  • Demonstrate key pre-operative procedures to improve success rates
  • Illustrate post-operative care suggestions for different surgical procedures for various model types
  • Evaluate technologies to effectively monitor animals post-surgery

Webinars will be available for unlimited on-demand viewing after live event.
