I'm currently an undergrad at Texas A&M. I've been working in Dr. Jean-Philippe Pellois's lab for over 2 years now. We deal mainly with developing semisythetic molecular probes and delievery of said probes to the cytosol. I'm currently working on the TGF-beta pathway with specific focus on R-Smad/SARA interaction and have also dabbled in quantum dots. It's a refreshing mix of chemisty, cell biology, and biochemistry.
I plan on finishing my last year here before moving on to earn my PhD. I really enjoy the atmosphere and culture that academia provides. I plan staying in research and pursuing a position as a postdoc and hopefully secure a professorship.
