A glutamate-sensitive fluorescent reporter (GluSnFr) is a genetically engineered protein that emits light when bound to the neurotransmitter glutamate. Fluorescence emitted by a glutamate-bound GluSnFr can be visualized through microscopy. GluSnFts are commonly used in neuroscience research.
