Immuno-oncology research
Immuno-oncology research aims to improve the cancer immunotherapies, treatments which act by augmenting a patient's own immune system. Immuno-oncology approaches are an indirect approach of cancer treatment opposed to traditionally cancer treatments, like chemotherapy and radiation, which directly attacking cancer cells, and somethings healthy cells in the process.
