Not all video games involve shooting the enemy, rescuing a princess or racing a car. A new game developed by a Colorado couple is about their journey through cancer. Their young son was diagnosed with cancer as a toddler and they chose a video game to tell his story.
The game is called "That Dragon Cancer" and leads players on a interactive path through their struggle from when their son Joel was first diagnosed to when he died. The game includes home video and recordings of Joel. Joel's dad Ryan is a game developer and calls the creation of the game a way of working through the worst thing that can happen to a parent.
Take a look at the game in this video and look for its release for both Mac and PC.
