These Glasses Aren't Any Ordinary Glasses

People have been using optics to improve their vision for centuries, and optic technology has come a long way. On the other hand, whoever would have thought we'd one day integrate our smartphones and everyday tech into our glasses?

Google Glass was one of the first major products to integrate our smartphones into our glasses, but the idea didn't really take off because of the cost and the ugly nerdy-looking thing that dangles off of the side of the glasses frame.

On the other hand, another company dubbed Laforge Optical has created a pair of glasses that can be tailored to anyone's prescription needs, and the glasses look like any other ordinary pair of glasses.

The software user interface lets users send and receive text messages, take photos, measure walking speed, and even have driving directions right in the lens of their glasses. This means no more staring at screens on your smartphone or in your car.

The idea is pretty high-tech, and the glasses start at just under $600 from the company's website.

What are your thoughts on moving your tech to your glasses?
