For many of us, our beds are our most comfortable sanctuary. Not surprisingly so, considering that we spend roughly about one-third of our life laying in bed sleeping. And the latest technologies are just making it easier and easier to stay in bed, even when we're not sleeping. But are there health consequences from too much lying down?

As it turns out, the answer is an overwhelming yes! Our bodies simply aren't built to be confined to long-term supine position.
