Watch Orbital ATK's Rocket Launch to Resupply the ISS
3 6 201

This week, an Orbital ATK Antares rocket launched from NASA's Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport at NASA's Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia and was carrying food and supplies for the brave astronauts aboard the International Space Station to learn more about how space works for the better good of mankind.

The launch was successful without any hiccups, making the sixth time Orbital ATK has been able to send cargo to the International Space Station without any trouble.

The rocket was carrying a Cygnus spacecraft, which will soon dock with the International Space Station so those aboard can grab what they need off of it.

Orbital ATK is one of SpaceX's biggest competitors for NASA resupply missions like this one. SpaceX doesn't have as spotless of a record as Orbital ATK does at this point in time, but they also go the step further of landing their rockets for re-use, which can help reduce costs for the space agency.
