Should You Integrate Bugs Into Your Diet?
3 1 73

Have you ever thought about what it might be like to eat bugs? Most people get grossed out by the idea, but at least 2 billion people around the world are already doing it.

The concept of putting a creepy crawly in your mouth, cooked or not, is probably both scary and revolting, but they can be a good source of protein and eating them can put less strain on the environment as a food source.

Most of the time, bugs can be integrated into recipes with regular ingredients, replacing meats where you would normally rely on them for protein. For example, using grasshoppers or scorpions rather than beef or pork.

In terms of health, there's no scientific evidence that eating bugs is bad for you. They are known to have nutritional value, but sometimes it's just a matter of getting over the culture you've become accustomed to.
