The Microscopic World is Pretty Amazing

Your eyesight is only so good, but with a little help from a handy-dandy microscope, you can explore an entirely new microscopic world.

So much is happening right under our fingertips that we're oblivious to, and yet that's only because we don't get to see it on a regular basis.

If you were to take a closer look at a sample of pond water, you would see all the microbes residing in it. If you took a closer look at your skin on a hot day, you'd see the sweat rushing out of your pores.

Not only can you make observations in real-time, but more advanced microscopes can collect time-lapse video of processes that occur on the microscopic scale, such as cell division or nerve cell activity.

It's an understatement to say that microscopes are helpful in the lab; scientists use them every day to uncover the secrets of nature and learn more about the unseen world around us.
