This is a complex process that poses challenges for patients, physicians, hospitals and laboratories. What is changing in today’s world is that many hospitals are being asked to take steps toward improving proactive and preventive care, improving patient outcomes while also saving on healthcare costs associated with diabetes and diabetes complications. Laboratories are invaluable partners in addressing this challenge.
