Abstract
CHAPTER ONE : What is Health Creation? - Jeremy Schubert and J. Brian Clark

CHAPTER THREE: Clinical Care Integration - Jeremy Schubert and Dr. Chad Malone

A lack of time to engage with patients in the diagnostic process is a major concern of health care professionals. The major challenge is that these professionals are inundated with data; upwards of 930 pieces of chemistry and hematology data are reviewed by primary care physicians each week! The complexity of healthcare decision making coupled with an increased volume of available information, may lead to variability in quality and cost of care. While quality results have been the primary focus of the laboratory, many misdiagnoses and treatment errors can be attributed to errors during the selection and interpretation of test results. Lab tests play a key role in clinical decision making, and correct interpretation is critical. In a survey, 75% of clinicians want more interpretation of lab results₂

Ultimately, making a holistic, patient-centric decision is a matter of bringing together the right information at the right time to treat the right person. To alleviate this complexity and avoid errors, many health systems deploy some form of clinical decision support (CDS) technology. Join Abbott, with Jeremy Schubert and Dr. Chad Malone, to learn about how the AlinIQ Clinical Insights solution can help drive clinical practice towards proper standards of care while integrating seamlessly into existing clinical workflows. AlinIQ Clinical Insights will provide the best outcome for patients within key disease areas, such as diabetes and heart failure.

Learning Objectives:

Understand how a CDS solution can help:
  • Leverage disparate data into meaningful recommendations that can impact workflow and patient outcomes
  • Identify high risk patients and close gaps in care to prevent costly admissions and readmissions
  • Reduce variabilities and inconsistencies in laboratory testing and clinical decision making

Webinars will be available for unlimited on-demand viewing after live event.
