      Dr. Jin Yan is a Technical Support Application Scientist with over 10 years of experience using Axon Instruments. She has been involved heavily with the current development of pCLAMP Software. Dr. Yan received her Ph.D. degree in Medical Pharmacology from the University of Arizona and completed postdoc training at the University of Washington. Her research interests include molecular mechanisms of migraine and presynaptic modulation of calcium channels by calcium sensor proteins. She joined Molecular Devices in 2015.

    The Clampfit software module is a useful tool to manipulate and analyze electrophysiological data acquired by pCLAMP™ software. Recently, Molecular Devices released Clampfit 11 software with Advanced Event Detection functions to automate data analysis and improve accurate measurement. In this webinar, Dr. Jin Yan will provide an overview of new event detection features in Clampfit 11. She will also demonstrate the use of Template search, Population Spike search and Action Potential search.
