Abstract
In this webinar, our speakers will provide an introduction into the epidemiology of influenza A/B, RSV, COVID-19, Adenovirus, Human Metapneumovirus, Rhinovirus, Enterovirus, and Parainfluenza, explaining why it is important to test and differentiate all these respiratory viruses using broader multiplex PCR testing. We will introduce the workflow and performance of two CE-IVD-certified solutions; Applied Biosystems™ TaqPath™ COVID 19, Flu A/B, RSV Combo Kit and TaqPath Respiratry Viral Select Panel. These two multiplex PCR tests, combined using the same instrument, can detect and differentiate between viruses that share influenza-like symptoms and those that are known to cause the common cold. Both TaqPath respiratory testing solutions have a sample-to-results turnaround time of less than three hours and supports testing of up to 94 samples per run.
