Abstract

The objectives of this presentation are (1) to review current and emerging SARS-CoV-2 serology applications, (2) to discuss variation among different SARS-CoV-2 vaccines with respect to disease prevention, adaptive immunity induced and effectiveness against variants, and (3) to understand the latest innovations in SARS-CoV-2 serology testing with a focus on trimeric spike protein as the capture antigen.  Emerging needs of special populations, including immunocompromised individuals, healthcare workers and first responders will be discussed.  It is hoped that the audience will come away with an up-to-date understanding of the past, present, and future of SARS-CoV-2 serology testing and the importance of ongoing serology testing in a (mostly) vaccinated world.

In this webinar, you will :

  • Review current and emerging SARS-CoV-2 serology applications
  • Discuss variation among different vaccines with respect to (1) prevention of infection and/or serious illness, (2) adaptive immunity and (3) effectiveness against variants
  • Understand latest innovations in SARS-CoV-2 serology assay design:  trimeric spike protein as a capture antigen

Webinars will be available for unlimited on-demand viewing after live event.
