Together they have created an experience that some are calling a “mind reading robot show” but is it true mind reading, or is it just smoke and mirrors? Alex Blackwood takes his “show” on the road with an AI robot named Pepper. His audiences are mostly employees of high-tech companies, so they are not people who are easily fooled by tricks. Blackwood insists that Pepper has been primed with algorithms that allow the robot to ask a few questions and then be able to tell what a person is thinking about. Is it real AI or is it magic?
