For a Restful Night's Sleep, Eat This, Not That!

Late-night diets don't affect just your waistline. Rather, eating late and eating the wrong foods may be why you don't get a good night's sleep.

We may know to avoid stimulants like coffee and other caffeinated beverages. But did you know that popular bar foods, such as fries and mozzarella sticks, are notorious for keep you up at night? These heavy and fatty foods are tricky to digest and could trigger gastroesophageal reflux disease, also known as acid reflux. Similarly, foods high spice and acids also promote the painful heartburn, which may be a reason why your beauty sleep will get disrupted.

To help yourself get a more restful night's sleep, try eating soy foods, like edamames, which are high L-tryptophan. Surprisingly, cherries are also a good food for sleep, as these contain melatonin, the hormone that helps your brain fall asleep.
