In case you missed it...

In case you missed the Super Blood Wolf Moon lunar eclipse last night, here's your chance to watch it in a time-lapse video. While some of us in the Northeastern United States were hunkering down for a wintry storm, a gorgeous celestial event was taking place - and though the year has just begun, it will be the only of its kind to grace us in 2019! Indeed, the next total eclipse won't happen globally until 2021 and if you’re in North America, you’ll have to wait until 2022 to see a blood moon.

Last night’s total lunar eclipse took place as the moon was at its closest point to Earth for the month (this is often referred to as a "supermoon"). Add to that the nickname given to January’s full moon – Wolf Moon – and you get quite the mouthful of a name for last night’s sky. Take a look for yourself!
