Massive Study Shows MMR Vaccine is Not Linked to Autism

WRITTEN BY: Carmen Leitch

Even though reports linking autism to vaccines have been retracted, some people are still concerned about the safety of the measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccine. This has led to problems getting people to immunize their children. Outbreaks of measles are now occurring in various locations around the world, and the World Health Organization has declared ‘vaccine hesitancy’ to be one of the top ten threats facing humanity.

To demonstrate that the MMR vaccine is safe and is not associated with autism, a massive study was done using Danish health records. Researchers surveyed records from 537,303 children born between 1991 and 1998 in Denmark. They concluded that the MMR vaccine is not connected to the development of autism. Vaccinated children and unvaccinated children face the same risk of autism.
