More Than 700 Infants Exposed To Tuberculosis At Texas Hospital

More than 700 newborns and about 40 health care workers at Providence Memorial Hospital, El Paso, Tex, were exposed to tuberculosis through a hospital employee who had an active case of the disease. The exposure occurred over a period of about a year, beginning in September 2013. The employee recently tested positive for the disease, and was placed on leave.
