Here's How to Develop Your Own Pinhole Camera Photographs

WRITTEN BY: Anthony Bouchard

Photography is fun.

Maybe a lot of you have a high-powered digital camera, or an impressive smartphone camera, but if you want to take things back to the good old days when photographs were actually developed on photo paper, and you want to do it cheap, then here's a really cool science experiment you can take on with your kids.

Using a home-made pinhole camera box, some photo paper, and some common household chemicals and cooking ingredients, you can develop your own photographs without having to make a stop at your local photograph developer.

So what kinds of ingredients might be involved in doing something like this? Well, here's a general list:

- Water
- Dried Mint
- Baking Soda
- Vitamin C Tablets
- Lemon Juice

Now, just put the photo paper into the home-made pinhole camera box, have someone sit really still, and watch this video for the instructions on how to develop the photo paper using the ingredients listed.

Cool, huh?!
