      Abstract

Rapid access to high quality comprehensive coagulation test results is critical to patient care.  In an environment where clinical laboratories constantly experience price and labor pressure, labs are positioned to change the landscape and leverage their roles as key members of the clinical care team by keeping testing in house.  Drs. Herriman and Volod will share actionable strategies for labs to lead their healthcare networks to drive successful patient outcomes.

      Learning objectives:

      1. Define current state of the clinical laboratory value market.
      2. Illustrate implications of changes in the laboratory testing landscape for providers and laboratorians.
      3. Demonstrate opportunities for overall patient cost savings using high value routine and specialty coagulation assays
