    BIOGRAPHY

Abstract

We’ll discuss the rapid discovery efforts to identify human monoclonal antibody drugs that protect against COVID-19. We will review the technologies used to find antibodies, the optimal profile of protective antibody molecules, and the approach to testing in vivo. We will review the laboratory approach to identifying effective and synergistic combinations of antibodies that exhibit high potency and resist escape by variants of concern.

Learning Objectives:

1.     Define the antigenic landscape on the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein.

2.     Explain current rational approaches to combination mAb therapy.

3.     Review the antibody correlates of protection for SARS-CoV-2.
