Spring 2023 Labroots Travel

SCHOLARSHIP

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS GENERAL TERMS

Spring 2023 Labroots Travel Scholarship

This scholarship welcomes applicants enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree to apply for funding to offset costs associated with travel for academic pursuits in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) field.

Travel to academic conferences, or for research, is often a required part of being a student. However, flights, hotels, membership fees, and even rental cars can be a significant financial burden on students at all degree levels.

The 2023 Labroots Travel Scholarship will provide $1000 to one undergraduate or graduate student to directly offset the travel costs during the Spring conference season. The scholarship is merit-based and applicants should describe their intended academic travel plans in the application process.

Labroots supports undergraduate and graduate students pursuing degrees in STEM disciplines. This program is open to students both in, and outside the US; there are no geographical limits for applicants. Labroots wishes to encourage all students to stay in science and aims to help students work towards their research and educational goals

Eligibility:

  • Applicants must be enrolled or accepted for an undergraduate or graduate degree (BA/BS or higher) for the 22/23 or 23/24 academic year at a recognized institution.

  • The degree program/research area must be in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics field.

  • Open worldwide

Jair Torres

"I want to give my heartfelt thanks to Labroots for awarding me the Spring 2024 Travel Scholarship. This scholarship will allow me to attend the American Ornithological Society (AOS) conference in Colorado where I can meet likeminded ornithologists to learn from them and share my research. This award will also allow me to focus on my academic pursuits while continuing to share science with my broader community."
