Continuing Education

Labroots offers free continuing education credits for participation in select webinars and virtual events.

As part of our dedication to fostering every stage of academic pursuits and careers, Labroots users can participate in our virtual events and webinars and earn Continuing Education and/or Continuing Medical Education credits. Each event offers different educational credits based on the content of the event and the eligibility of each individual presentation.   • Where can I view events/webinars that have available credits?
    Click on the ‘Continuing Education’ section on the top navigation bar to view which events offer credits.

  • How do I get my credits?

    Please visit labroots.com/continuing-education-credits to learn more about each type of continuing education credit that Labroots offers. Each event offers different educational credits based on the content of the event and the eligibility of each individual presentation.

    To earn educational credits, you must view an entire eligible presentation. For webinars, you will need to click the CE credit link at the top of the page after watching the webinar. For events, they will click the CE credit tab and click the credit button for each webinar to start the process.

    Following the presentation, you must click on the educational credit link provided for that particular speaker and follow the required process, which varies from an evaluation to a short quiz. Once you have completed the process, you will receive a certificate for the educational credit. Earned credits and certificates can be viewed in your profile under the CE tab credit.

    For webinars, users will need to click the CE credit link at the top of the page after watching the webinar. For events, they will click the CE credit tab and click the credit button for each webinar to start the process.


  • What if I missed the live presentation, can I still get credits?

    Yes, you can still receive credits by viewing a presentation on demand for up to 1 year after the live date. Continuing Education credits can be earned by watching a presentation live during a conference or any time within a year after the live broadcast on demand.


  • What types of credits are offered through Labroots?

    Credits offered include:

    * Professional Acknowledgement for Continuing Education (P.A.C.E.)

    All laboratory professionals who are licensed or certified need Continuing Education. Some employers also require CE in addition to or in place of those requirements.

    * Continuing Medical Education (C.M.E.)

    Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits are essential for medical professionals to maintain their licensure and stay updated on the latest advancements in their field.

    * Continuing Professional Development (C.P.D.)

    Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credits serve as a quantifiable measure of engagement in professional learning and skill enhancement activities.

    * Genetics Counselors Continuing Education Unit (C.E.U.)

    Continuing Education Units (CEUs) earned through NSGC-approved educational opportunities will be accepted by the American Board of Genetic Counseling for purposes of Genetic Counselor recertification.

    * American Association of Veterinary State Boards Registry of Approved Continuing Education (R.A.C.E.)



  • Can I earn more than one credit?

    CE credits are available for every qualified presentation. You can earn credits for each presentation attended provided you follow steps to complete your certification for the presentations viewed.


  • Do the CE credits expire?
    CE credits expire 1 year after the date of the live presentation. Credits for each presentation are available live or on-demand. The presentations are available any time after the live broadcast on labroots.com through the Virtual Events or Webinars link. You can redeem CE credits for eligible presentations after viewing for up to 1 year.
