Symposia

3 presentations with a chair and a discussant. Inclusion of an Early Stage Investigator (ESI) as a Panelist is strongly encouraged. Diversity across institutions and in gender, race, ethnicity and LGBTQ status among the entire panel is also strongly encouraged

Overall summary of symposium limited to 250 words.  Each presentation abstract limited to 150 words.  Each abstract should include objective, methods, findings, impact. 

  • Objectives – describes the research objective
  • Methods – summarizes the research methods used to accomplish the research
  • Findings – summarizes findings that are supported by the data
  • Impact - states the conclusions drawn from results, including the potential for the research findings to improve practice
  • Funding – acknowledges the primary source of funding, including government, industry, foundation or academic institutional support
  • Identification of any financial, commercial, legal, or professional conflicts of interest

 

Review Criteria: Abstracts will be evaluated based on their significance, scientific rigor, innovation, approach, and relevance to the focus of MHSR 2022 on advancing the science and impact of mental health services research. *For symposia, special attention will be given for inclusion of ESIs and panelists from diverse backgrounds.
