Production Manager

The Production Manager/Project Manager’s primary focus is to plan, manage, and coordinate between clients and business divisions to deliver extraordinary virtual events. You are proven in event strategy, planning and production and most importantly, are ready to adapt and lead in the new world of digital events. You will join our production team to create, build and execute virtual events that sets Labroots apart from the competition. The ideal candidate will be organized and possess exceptional strategy, management, and execution skills. This role will help pivot the direction for Labroots as the “virtual first” platform for the next several years and help develop a digital strategy for post-COVID-19 times that connects clients and users with Labroots.

Responsibilities

The Production Manager's primary focus is to plan, manage, and coordinate between clients and business divisions to deliver extraordinary virtual events. This individual should have prior event planning and management experience, bonus experience with virtual events.

Manage the initial process of working with a client when a sale has been secured
Setup and Maintain Project Management Tool for Internal use and Client use
Organize and Conduct the Kick-off call with the client(s) and the necessary LabRoots team members (i.e. production, creative, marketing , development)
Understand the scope of the contract
Setup the Agenda for the call; Review Contract Components, Discuss Necessary Elements, and Address Client Questions, Schedule Recurring Planning Calls
Conduct recurring client planning calls for each Virtual Event
With the Understanding of the Client Contract, establish the Vision, Scope, and Branding elements for the event
Provide detailed documents, processes, and timelines to guide the client in providing content
Become fluent and knowledgeable in the virtual platform, webcasting platform, and LabRoots CMS to provide guidance, examples, and options for each phase of the production and creative aspects for the event
Manage staff assigned to virtual events
Work with the Creative Director to ensure the creative aspects of the event are being managed timely
Work with the Development Director to ensure the development aspects of an event are being managed timely
Work with Marketing Director to ensure the marketing aspects of an event are being managed timely
Manage the production aspects of the event including Event microsites/registration pages, Virtual Event Buildout and Room Elements, Event speakers and agenda, QC events
Manage the live coverage of the virtual event
Provide reporting and metrics for virtual events
Attend internal production meetings to provide timely updates of upcoming virtual events
Support Production Team

Desired Qualifications & Skills

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications & skills ...

College Degree (AA or Bachelors: Bachelors preferred).
5+ years in event and staff management.
Proven experience leading the development and execution of virtual events.
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated collaboration skills: experience working across multiple organization, executive leadership, and external agencies to manage event strategy.
Excellent organizational skills, including project management, multitasking, time management, and meticulous attention to details.
Fluent in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Basic knowledge of CMS and Virtual Platform/Webcasting Platform software. (Video Editing preferred)
Experience with Virtual Event Platforms such as 6Connex, ON24 or InXpo.
Experience with Google Docs, Outlook.
