    Archaea

Archaea are a group of single-celled microorganisms that share some similarities with bacteria. Archaea live in extreme environments such as places with very high temperatures and salt concentrations. Archaea lack cell nuclei and have a unique cell wall structure that enables them to survive in such hostile environments.
