Ultraviolet (UV) light
UV light is a type of radiation on the electromagnetic spectrum. UV light accounts for a small percentage of the electromagnetic radiation generated by the sun and is responsible for sunburn. UV light causes DNA damage and can be used to destroy microbes and other germs on solid surfaces.
