Beta-catenin
Beta-catenin (β-catenin) is a biological protein involved in cell adhesion, the process by which cells attach with other cells. Dysfunctional cell adhesion is implicated in cancer metastasis. Beta-catenin also plays a role in gene transcription, the essential biological process by which DNA is copied into RNA that can encode proteins.
