Coeliac disease
Celiac (or Coeliac) disease is an autoimmune disorder characterized by the immune system attacking cells within the small intestine when gluten is present. The breakdown of cells in the small intestine results to medical issues including malabsorption, anemia, diarrhea, and osteoporosis. Patients diagnosed with Celiac disease can mange symptoms by eliminating gluten from their diet.
