KLF5 (Kruppel Like Factor 5) is a gene which codes for a gene of the Kruppel-like factor subfamily. The protein encoded by KLF5 is involved in many signaling pathways including cell proliferation. Mutations in the KLF5 gene are linked to cancers and cardiovascular disease.
