    Non human primates

Non-human primates include members of the highest order of mammals, excluding humans. Monkeys, apes, and prosimians are all classified as non-human primates. Advanced biomedical research often includes non-human primate species including rhesus macaques, chimpanzees, marmosets, and spider monkeys.
