    Olfactory bulb

The olfactory bulb is a mass of tissue made up of nerve cells involved in smelling. The body contains four olfactory bulbs, two on the lower portion of the brain and one above each nasal cavity. Upon receiving a stimulus through the nose, the olfactory bulbs send information to the brain through the olfactory tracts.
