Pancreatic insufficiency
Pancreatic insufficiency is a medical condition characterized by a lack of enzymes required for digestion. These enzymes are used to help the body digest foods into usable fuel and when it is not present malabsorption develops and can lead to vitamin and mineral deficiencies. Symptoms of pancreatic insufficiency include abdominal pain, loss of appetite, weight loss, and diarrhea.
