    Polarity

In chemistry, polarity describes the separation of electric charges resulting in an electric dipole moment where one end of the molecule is positively charged, and the other end is negatively charged. In addition to chemical molarity, there is also magnetic polarity which refers to the north and south poles of an electromagnetic field.
