WRITTEN BY: Lawrence Renna

5G is the fifth-generation technology for cellular networks and will likely be the successor to the 4G (fourth-generation) cellular network, which covers a majority of the mobile phones. 5G networks will be capable of delivering speeds 100 times faster than current 4G networks. This new infrastructure could lead to a technological explosion of connected devices, such as autonomous driving vehicles and advanced drones. 5G is a fascinating technology with remarkable performance metrics enabling new applications; check out the stats here!
