Drone Footage Shows Humpback Whales Swimming Around a Boat

It's not every day that humpback whales start swimming around your boat while you're cruising through the middle of the ocean, but for these folks, they were lucky enough to capture the event with ultra-high definition 4K video from a drone overhead.

Humpback whales are harmless sea mammals despite their massive size, so while the experience was adrenaline-inducing, it was more of a joyride with mother nature than anything.

The footage was captured in August this year in New Caledonia, which is in the South part of the Pacific Ocean near Australia.

Whales have been known to be social, but the rare occurrence of capturing it in such clear footage from the skies is definitely share-worthy.
