Keeping Your Body Safe at the Gym

In this short video from Baylor College of Medicine, get some tips about keeping yourself safe from germs that may be contaminating your gym, and getting on you and your stuff. Obviously people sweat at the gym, and when they do bacteria and microbes from their bodies can get onto surfaces and equipment. Some common infections can occur because of these microbes, like staph infections.

There are some obvious tips, like wiping down surfaces and even spraying them with an antibacterial cleaner before you use them. Another tip: keep your dirty gym clothes separated from the rest of your stuff in a gym bag.
