Tips for Preventing Acne

Just because someone has reached adulthood doesn't mean they are not going to experience acne anymore. Because pimples are caused by hormones, getting older is not an escape from skin problems. That means women will often get acne well into adulthood, maybe their entire lives. It also means stress will cause breakouts.

Johns Hopkins dermatologist Mary Sheu has some tips for preventing acne. For one, eating the rights foods can help. Getting lots of fruits and vegetables, especially those with vitamin C, will help reduce inflammation. Staying away from excess added sugar is another great way to keep your skin clear.
