Where will all the trash go?

With more and more people producing more and more waste, our current and projected realities beg the question: what will we do with all the trash? Here are some innovative ideas that countries around the globe have tried:

1. Create roads out of plastic waste. India used five years' worth of plastic rubbish to create 1,000 km of pavement for public roads!

2. Pulverize e-waste to create microscopic nanoparticles that can be reused to produce other products. Places like Ghana which receive millions of tons of e-waste have started to do just this.

3. Collect garbage from the streets and exchange the recyclable parts for money for healthcare. Called "Garbage Clinical Insurance," this practice has been instituted in places like Indonesia, where half the population lacks medical care.
