Meet the World's Tallest Sunflower

WRITTEN BY: Anthony Bouchard

Hans-Peter Schiffer of Karst, Nordrhein Westfalen, Germany has been documented by Guinness World Records for having the world's tallest sunflower.

Sunflowers can definitely grow to be quite the tall flowers, but Schiffer's has broken the previously set world record with his monstrous sunflower, which measures 30 feet and 1 inch tall (or 9.17 meters).

It's so tall, in fact, that it requires a special beam to help the sunflower grow straight without drooping due to weight and a special platform so that everyone can climb up to measure it.

This isn't the first time that Schiffer has held a world record for the world's tallest sunflower. The man just happens to be an expert when it comes to growing the biggest and the best sunflowers.
