Check Out Some Animals That Probably Existed Even During Prehistoric Times

WRITTEN BY: Anthony Bouchard

There are a handful of animals out there that are thought to have been around during prehistoric times, and continue to exist today. Although humans may have only been around for so long, there are thought to be several species of animals out in the wild today that have long pre-dated humans.

In this video, you'll get a look at some of the animals that experts believe have been around even before humans walked the Earth. It's evident from not only their appearance, but their bodily qualities, that they're not modern animals, and instead take on qualities from prehistoric animals that needed these features for survival.

Evolution doesn't always affect animals; it only happens during the natural selection process where such evolutionary traits are necessary for the animal's continued survival. In some of the places where these animals survive, no changes were actually necessary to ensure their survival, so they have just kept going their merry way over the past millions of years.
