Time: 6:00am (PDT), 9:00am (EDT), 3:00pm (CET)
Abstract
Clinical chemistry is a key discipline in laboratory medicine and comprises the majority of the workload in the core lab. In this presentation, participants will learn how recent innovations in assay design, analytical technique and instrumentation aid the laboratory to have high quality results and deliver operational excellence. In addition, six sigma metrics as a tool to evaluate assay performance will be discussed. Automated preanalytical testing capabilities (e.g. HIL Sample Indices), assays designed to meet CLSI guidelines and the use of assays with Six Sigma capability provide the laboratory confidence to meet today’s challenges of improved operational productivity and throughput.

Learning Objectives
  • To review recent innovations in Abbott Clinical Chemistry instrumentation and assays
  • To understand what are 6 Sigma metrics and why they are useful
  • Impact of Six Sigma metrics on laboratory quality and productivity

Webinars will be available for unlimited on-demand viewing after live event.
