Antibody engineering enables the generation of novel and diverse antibody constructs. The development of therapeutic antibodies is highly dependent on antibody engineering, whether for the generation of chimeric, humanized, Fc-engineered, bispecific, or other multispecific antibodies. Increasingly, recombinant antibody engineering is finding application in the generation of research tool antibodies and antibodies used in diagnostics. In this webinar we will cover the general recombinant antibody workflow and discuss Fc modification, antibody humanization, and bispecific/multispecific antibody engineering, including examples of these applications outside of the therapeutics space. We will be joined by our partners, 2bind, who will discuss methodologies used for biophysical characterization of proteins, with a specific focus on different bispecific antibody modalities and the effect different protein engineering choices have on protein stability.
Learning Objectives
- Describe the steps used for recombinant antibody production, including sequencing, engineering, and antibody expression.
- Identify various types of antibody engineering and how they are utilized in applications beyond therapeutics.
- Explain the methodologies used for biophysical characterization of bispecific antibodies and evaluate how different protein engineering choices impact protein stability.
Webinars will be available for unlimited on-demand viewing after live event.
