    Biography

      Dr. Tobias Santl earned a PhD in Evolutionary Biology from the University of Regensburg in Regensburg, Bavaria, as well as completed additional studies at BYU and the University of San Juan.  Tobis joined the GeneArt team at Thermo Fisher Scientific in 2007, and became the manager of the Gene Evolution Library Group in 2011.


    Abstract

    Directed evolution is an effective strategy to optimize the properties of proteins for specific requirements, either for industrial, therapeutics or research applications. As the theoretical diversity in this strategy likely excels screening capability, it is important to shrink this diversity to a manageable, but meaningful size. In this webinar, we will discuss ways to accomplish this task along with important considerations when selecting your directed evolution methods.
